An ergonomic desk chair should have most of the following features: - Seat height should be adjustable by 16 to 20 inches from the floor. Both feet should be able to rest comfortably on the floor.
- Adjustable armrest should allow for relaxed arms, elbows, and shoulders at all times.
- Should have sufficient padding that is firm and not too soft.
- Backrest must support the spine's natural curve in the lower back region, and should be wide enough to allow movement for the user. The backrest of an ergonomic chair may be separate or connected to the seat. Check whether the back rest can be tilted forward and backward.
- If the backrest is a separate piece, the height and angle must be adjustable as height and depth adjustments are essential for maximum lumbar support.
